  • MaximoWorld is a gathering of IBM Maximo users from around the world.
  • There was strong interest from delegates who wanted to understand how to migrate from IBM Maximo to IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).

In early August, COSOL attended MaximoWorld 2023 for the second year to promote our asset management and IBM Maximo expertise while connecting with and learning about industry innovations from industry peers.

For over 20 years, passionate IBM Maximo users gather at MaximoWorld – bringing together the user community, including technical, functional, and strategic business level roles. MaximoWorld is an event that encompasses everything Maximo users need to advance themselves – from learning how to use new digitalisation models to transform asset management, to improving uptime and reducing downtime and cost, to gaining knowledge on latest industry workflows from Maximo experts – just to name a few.

MaximoWorld23 was this year held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Representing COSOL at the event from across our global team were Jack Wood, Greg Delgaudio, Ross Hoppenjan, Harrison Bliss, David Lestani, and Annette Henry - along with Alastair Brooke and Ciaran Doyle from our BIM partners - DBM Vircon.

As an IBM Gold Business Partner and IBM Maximo implementation specialists, this conference provides us with the opportunity to share with dedicated Maximo users and the organisations they work for, our experience and expertise in maximising Maximo in combinations with the wider asset information ecosystem.  This year our team saw a strong interest from delegates who wanted to understand how to migrate from Maximo to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) efficiently and how they can move beyond just Maximo Manage to start on their journey to predictive maintenance with IBM MAS.  Our expert team supported by our strategic partners - InterPro and Projetech also discussed the popular topics of IBM MAS AppPoints, MobilityGeographic Information Systems (GIS) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) and how these technologies help organisations achieve operational efficiency.

Highlights from our team:

David Lestani shares, "With the announcement from IBM of the 'Asset Strategy Library' to be available in MAS Manage, we can now have a more unified approach to reliability centred maintenance (RCM) with our clients. Tapping into the library will greatly benefit smaller or less mature organisations to improve their asset reliability outcomes within a short period of time. For the more mature organisations it can be used as a reference to benchmark current RCM practices or a trigger to challenge the status quo."

Ross Hoppenjan says, "Everyone was actively seeking to better understand the community and what each vendor did to find the help that they need to create a better Maximo system to support the business and create partner networks to enhance user experiences."

Greg Degaudio adds, "The event was a tremendous opportunity to build relationships and opportunities with the partners and client profiles that has made COSOL successful.  We'll now be able to capitalize on the IBM ecosystem in the US market even further."

MaximoWorld has become an essential part of our yearly event calendar and we look forward to sharing new innovations and expertise at MaximoWorld24.
